This game’s fussy installation and stability problems keep it from reaching its full potential. In Bikez II, you play an outlaw biker who runs completely amok, terrorizing and murdering citizens while you attempt to complete your mission. Installing the program was no easy task. Clicking the EXE file in the huge ZIP archive gave us error messages on several machines, forcing us to extract all files to a separate folder. We next experienced several crashes until we went into yet another EXE file and readjusted our screen resolution. Once we finally launched the game, we found the graphics to be decent, although those with high-dollar PCs will probably get better results. The audio fits the game’s theme, with nightmarish screams and the sound of burning rubber. You can deactivate the music and sound effects and change the keyboard controls, but that’s about the extent of the features. Speaking of controls, the default settings are not the intuitive arrow keys they are in many games. It wasn’t immediately apparent how to move our biker, and altering the controls to our liking should have been easier. Bloodthirsty souls with plenty of patience might enjoy Bikez II, but we can see how many folks will be prematurely frustrated.

The idea of Bikez II is to complete increasingly more difficult missions while gathering money to upgrade your four, fully customizable weapons. Money is gathered both from completing missions and from terminating citizens. The camera located behind the bike and the cool slow-motion button make for a movie-like appearance.
